Please mark your attendance for the bi-monthly Cultivate Charlottesville Food Justice Network large group meeting! Our next gathering is being moved to October 20 from 10:30am-12:30pm on Zoom. We will be preparing for our Food Equity Initiative presentation to City Council coming up November 1st and are excited for your to engage and advocate!
Spotlighting Ways to Engage & Learn Attend tonight's Cville Plans Together meeting and speak up for prioritizing Food Equity in the Comprehensive Plan! Are you following food equity additions to the Charlottesville Comprehensive Plan? To date, 62 of the food equity recommendations have been included in the current draft. Specific wins here! But, there is still more work to do. We want to see Food Equity as one of the key priority areas in the Implementation Chapter. Right now it is only listed as one of 28 of the key strategies. Let the Planning Commission know we see Food as a Human Right and want it to be a key priority.

Affordable Housing in the Comprehensive Plan There is still opportunity to express support for more affordable housing measures in the comprehensive plan. Here are local resources to learn about recommendations to improve affordable housing and help you show your support.
